ABOUT MATT SILBERT

Matt Silbert designed and coded his first website in 1995 and has been working non-stop as a website producer, manager and designer ever since.

I’ve had the privilege of working for some of the most respected musicians in rock, jazz, and folk, dating back to the onset of the world wide web.  -ms

CURRENTLY

Matt Silbert is currently working with a wide variety of small to medium sized businesses and several non-profit organizations.  He provides hands-on expertise, instituting best practices to optimize their web presence, expand their online footprint, and keep their sites up-to-date and secure.  Matt specializes in sites built in the WordPress content management system.

Matt’s associates and professional network include a wide range of specialists including experts in database administration, design, marketing, programming, security, and new technologies.

NIMBIT

nimbit

In 2002 Matt Silbert co-founded Nimbit, which developed the first-ever content management system for musicians, premiering at SXSW in 2003.  Nimbit has since been acquired by PreSonus and still thrives today as an industry leader for DIY web tools for musicians.

At Nimbit he provided custom services to VIP clients, personally working on the official sites of Sam Bush, Alan Parsons Project, Spyro Gyra, Tom Rush, Mary Gauthier, Glen Phillips, John Lurie, Mandrill, Porter Batiste Stoltz, Rob Wasserman, Arlen Roth, Cassie Steele, Carrie Newcomer, Kate Taylor, Duke Levine, Boston Baroque and many more.

THE EARLY DAYS

As lead designer at ArtsOnline.com he created the very first websites of The Boston Ballet and Handel and Haydn Society

As a producer at Boston’s most in-demand media production agency – the infamous Stumpworld Systems – he presided over the on-time launches of Phish.com and the award-winning Aerosmith.com in 1997.  Other official sites worked on included Charles Mingus, Medeski Martin and WoodBlind Boys of Alabama, Los Straitjackets and many more.

Matt has taught web design classes at Santa Monica College, UMass Lowell, and the prestigious School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
